My Fiction
What does Aubrey write?
I’m so glad you asked.
As a reader, I want my heart broken.
I want to feel as though my wrists have been bound by ropes and I’m being drug through the dusty streets of a medieval town until I am nothing more than a mess of blood and broken dreams. THEN, AND ONLY THEN, do I want to be put back together piece by broken piece through the power of love.
And that, dear reader, is what I aim to put into my novels.
I want you to feel something, because aren’t shared human experiences what it’s all about? The way you see another soul and feel a spark of recognition, a moment of deja vu, if you will. Something inside you perks, and that little voice goes “Hmm. I think I’ll keep you.”
These stories are for you.
For the one who was always told you feel too much.
That you’re prettier when you smile.
To be grateful for what you have.
For the ones that know what their darkest despair feels like and
continue to claw their way to the light.
My debut novel and first book in The Woods of Brashen Trilogy, “Embarkare” is set to release August 4th, 2026!
I can’t believe we’re so close! This journey has been. . .long.
Emotional. Exhilarating. Exhausting. Beautiful.
And I’m so grateful for every single one of you for being here.
Without further ado, let me introduce you to…
Isn’t she beautiful?!

Embarkare Synopsis:
Dark magic has returned to the continent of Brashen. Villages are destroyed. Families torn apart. And the darkness? It yields to no one.
When a monster bred of sharp teeth and talons is sent to attack her home, elemental witch, Andra, is given a choice: pay for her mother’s supposed sins by winter solstice, or someone from her village will be brutally slaughtered each day thereafter. Certain of her own strength, she sets out into the continent for the first time.
But the continent is nothing as she’d imagined, and Andra finds only cruelty beyond her village's borders. She is stalked by monsters both real and imagined, and when a mysterious monster hunter chases her through the woods, she doesn’t know if she can trust him. But as the danger rapidly escalates, and it is clear to Andra she is woefully outmatched, he might be the only one who can help her before it’s too late.
Perfect for fans of The Lord of the Rings and The Witcher, ‘Embarkare’ is a story packed full of emotional self-realization, the vulnerability of trusting others, and the strength it takes to believe in your own abilities.
ONE MORE THING.
I’m working on a series of interconnected standalones that take place in a magical town called Pine Haven. They’re low stakes, cozy and magical, with a dash of spice and I am absolutely obsessed with them! Did I mention they’re themed around the holidays? The first is a ‘harvest feast’ setting, and I’m feeling optimistic about it releasing in the fall of 2027. The feel of them is so different from The Woods of Brashen trilogy and I’m having so much fun with them. I can’t wait to share more about the gang at Pine Haven!
